During her career in industry, was also responsible for technical sales consultancy, covering the entire UK, in a company dedicated to the natural resources industry.

Senior Consultant, Director of INEGI's Optical and Mechanical Experimental area. Is a specialist in fatigue behavior, damage tolerance behavior and advanced production processes. Has experience in the coordination and management of research and R&D projects with industry. Holds three patents and is the editor of a book on connections of lightweight structures.

Senior Consultant and Project Manager. Regularly publishes in international scientific journals and international conference proceedings. In 2003 founded the Iberian Chapter of SPIE - Society for Photo-optical and Instrumentation Engineers - and organized the first Iberian Conference for Optical Researchers in 2004. Is a founding member of the Portuguese Society for Optics and Photonics and holds a patent on a illumination system for the evaluation of fatigue cracks.

Has led dozens of projects with industry partners and partners of the scientific and technological system, nationally and internationally.

Is responsible for several research projects in monitoring and control of advanced manufacturing processes. Has collaborated in numerous projects with the industry, namely in the field of metalworking and industrial equipment.

Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, and author and co-author of several articles presented at international congresses and scientific journals.

Has experience in the areas of material resistance, machine organ sizing, component selection, mechanical design, industrialization, specification of inspection plans and final tests. Specialist in structural numerical simulation and simulation of plastic sheet forming processes.
