We ensure the expedited and structured resolution of cases related to accidents in industrial/work environment and with transports – collisions reconstruction.

We work with research methodologies that involve the participation of specialists in several areas of engineering, access to specialized bibliography and scientific articles, the use of measurement and photography tools, as well as the use of software for reconstitution, numerical simulation, dynamics and modelling.

The INEGI's Accident Investigation Center (CENPERCA) supports all our activity in the area of scientific expertise, using the resources of the University of Porto whenever necessary.

Has experience in the coordination and management of research and R&D projects with industry. Holds three patents and is the editor of a book on connections of lightweight structures.

Senior Researcher and Project Manager for R&D projects, national and international, both in the Engineering area and in the Biomechanics and Health Sciences area. Is a member of the review board and editorial boards of several scientific journals and has published more than one hundred articles in international journals and congresses. Has collaborated with various expert commissions on structural and vehicle accidents and participated in audits of companies as a technical expert. Is the Scientific Director of INEGI's Optics and Experimental Mechanics area, and an associate professor of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).

Senior Consultant and Project Manager. Regularly publishes in international scientific journals and international conference proceedings. In 2003 founded the Iberian Chapter of SPIE - Society for Photo-optical and Instrumentation Engineers - and organized the first Iberian Conference for Optical Researchers in 2004. Is a founding member of the Portuguese Society for Optics and Photonics and holds a patent on a illumination system for the evaluation of fatigue cracks.
