Ceramics industry is the protagonist of a workshop taking place in Aveiro on eco-efficiency in industrial thermal processes – Registration Open

06 - 11 - 2019
On November 15th, a Sector Workshop will take place in Aveiro dedicated to the theme of eco-efficiency in industrial thermal processes and aimed at companies in the ceramic sector, especially engineers and managers responsible for energy, environment, quality and maintenance. Participation is free, upon registration HERE.

Organized by INEGI and ISQ, the initiative takes place during the Jornadas Técnicas da Cerâmica, and within the scope of the EcoTermIP project, which aims to transfer scientific and technological knowledge to improve the energy conditions of the industry.

The workshop will take place at the Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa, in Aveiro, starting at 10h00. Here the results of the EcoTermIP project will be presented, namely the energy diagnosis of the national ceramic industry sector, as well as measures to improve the eco-efficiency of thermal processes.

Ana Magalhães, responsible for the EcoTermIP project at INEGI, explains that the initiatives that INEGI has been copromoting in this area aim to minimize "a set of critical factors and market failures identified in the industry, namely the lack of knowledge and adequate information regarding the benefits of integrating technologies and methods using renewable energy sources for the supply of thermal energy and the recovery of waste heat".
