REN SENIOR STAFF DEVELOPS THEIR KNOWLEDGE ON NATURAL GAS IN A TRAINING PROMOTED BY INEGI

03 - 12 - 2019

In November, another edition of the Advanced Training Program in Energy - Natural Gas was held for a group of REN senior staff.

Aiming to provide advanced training in the field of natural gas, the program has covered the full value chain of this resource, from production, transportation, storage, uses and design elements, including classroom sessions, simulations, experience sharing and debates. This Advanced Training also included technical visits to Francos and Via Norte STCP stations, to Sermonde landfill, of SULDOURO, to GRMS and to the Tapada do Outeiro Combined Cycle Plant.

"The relevance and interest in our training offer were confirmed once again in this edition, with INEGI's experience and know-how in the energy field contributing to the competence broadening of REN's staff", said Ana Maria Sousa, responsible for the INEGI’s Advanced Training area.

In this edition, participants were also challenged to think and debate the future of the energy sector, and during the course, two seminars were held on the themes "Natural Gas - The Bridge to the Future” and "The Role of Natural Gas and Electricity” in a world warmer 1.5ºC".

In order to respond to the needs of organisations and of senior and intermediate staff who aim to develop and deepen competencies, INEGI will continue to carry out advanced energy training programs. "The next initiative in this area that is being prepared is dedicated to Hydrogen, which is becoming increasingly important in the future of the energy transition", says the responsible of INEGI's Advanced Training area.
